When something is upside down, it’s not quite right.
It messes with our head.
In fact, we don’t even have an english word for it. The best we can come up with is :
This upside down phenomenon actually is quite common. Tv shows have been based on it, certain animals live by it, and many people buy houses like it.
What else could be upside down? What if you had an upside down king?
What would they be like?
Well, what are normal kings like?
But what would an upside down king do?
How would he be born?
How would he fight?
How would he speak?
Who would be in his army?
What sort of power would upside down power look like?
This series we will be dealing with the story of Jesus, primarily through the Gospel of Luke, and seeing all the upside down aspects of Jesus as a king.
See, everyone in Israel were expected this king to come.
They called him the Messiah, which means Christ.
But they were not expecting an upside down king.
They knew some things about this Messiah, but no one saw the upside down things.
So in this series I will unpack the storyline and look at the upside down, different, strange things about Jesus and what he taught and did.
